The Sydney International Poetry Festival is an international cultural platform dedicated to poetry, literature and cross-cultural dialogue.
Based in Sydney, Australia, the Festival connects poets and audiences across languages and continents, encouraging artistic exchange, mutual understanding and lasting literary friendships.
We believe poetry belongs not only to books. It belongs to cities, to communities, to memory, and to every person who has ever tried to understand another human being.
History
The Sydney International Poetry Festival was founded in Australia in 2022 by renowned poet Ying Xia. Since its establishment, the Festival has successfully held two editions, each accompanied by the publication of a poetry anthology featuring works by poets from around the world.
Held biennially, the Festival has gained widespread international recognition and acclaim.

The President of this edition of the Sydney International Poetry Festival is renowned poet Ying Xia Tang (Australia).
The Honorary Presidents are renowned poet Prof. Mark Tredinnick (Australia) and renowned poet Dr. Lily Baylon Escrutora (Spain).

The Festival is known in Spanish as the Festival Internacional de Poesía de Sídney and in Chinese as 悉尼国际诗歌节.
