2026 festival announced: A Chorus Above the Fractures

The Sydney International Poetry Festival will return in 2026, from Wednesday 11 to Sunday 15 November, under the theme A Chorus Above the Fractures.

The Festival opens on Wednesday 11 November with a ceremony at Parliament House, 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Over five days, poets from Australia and around the world will gather for readings, multilingual performances, poetry and music, literary conversations and international poet forums, guided by the Festival’s belief that poetry creates a brighter world.

Participating poets, venues and the full program will be published on this website as they are confirmed. Poets, cultural organisations, universities and media who would like to take part or partner with the Festival can get in touch.
